Project Engineer, Nepean Hospital Redevelopment

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of building works for the Nepean Hospital project.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of daily site activities, ensuring alignment with the project's scope, schedule, and safety requirements.
  • Providing technical advice to the construction team, including interpretation of drawings, specifications, and design details.
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress, maintaining accurate site records, and contributing to weekly progress reports and cost control.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of works to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Promoting and enforcing safety, environmental, and quality procedures in all on-site activities, in line with both project and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Previous site-based experience on major building, infrastructure, or civil construction projects.
  • Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects is highly desirable, with an understanding of the complexity, safety protocols, and sensitivity required in healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project documentation, and best practices.
