About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Key Worker to deliver interventions to NDIS participants (specifically children aged 0-8) and their families that lead to positive, life-changing outcomes in Western Melbourne and surrounding areas.

This position is full-time or part-time (4 days per week). Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments is essential, as this is the most highly requested time for Key Workers to provide therapy to their participants.

Your Everyday
  • You will work in diverse settings; from homes and schools to playgrounds, and community centres
  • Attend family's home to conduct initial appointment, utilizing your assessment and communication skills to get to know them, their child and goals
  • Work collaboratively with kinder teacher at preschool to support child to develop their motor skills
  • Cross-reference parents' needs with available resources
  • Collaborate with Speech Pathologist and family members to support child to develop their communication and social skills
  • Build meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends)
  • Document and bill each session through our online participant management system
  • Provide support for child after school so they can establish consistent routines
  • Attend weekly team meeting in Hub; share stories of impact, coffee and laughs
  • You'll meet with Team Leader and Therapy Mentor to tap into their clinical knowledge and/or support

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for individuals who resonate with our values and can seamlessly integrate into our dynamic environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and registration.

  • If you are an Occupational Therapist, you will have a degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA registration
  • If you are a Physiotherapist, you will have a degree in Physiotherapy and AHPRA registration
  • If you are a Speech Pathologist, you will have a degree in Speech Pathology and SPA registration
  • If you are an Educator, you will have a degree in Education and hold full teaching registration with the relevant state education authority

You will also need:

  • Minimum 12 months experience working with children (aged 0-8) and their families
  • Demonstrated experience working with children with disability
  • A positive and flexible approach to work
  • Strong communication skills and be a team player
  • Commitment to personal and professional growth
  • A valid Australian drivers license
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • Working with Childrens Check
  • Availability and commitment to support before/after school appointments
