Job Description:

This role involves providing technical support and audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and design standards in meter renewals.

You will work closely with the team to optimize the Service Customer Process and contribute to its improvement.

The position requires approximately 80% field-based work and 20% office-based tasks, including making occasional trips to regional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct safety and quality audits to identify areas for improvement.
  2. Provide training and support to team members on meter replacement and contractor field workers.
  3. Investigate customer enquiries and complaints, and provide information to assist resolution and responses.
  4. Carry out ad hoc work such as meter replacements, property inspections, and quality assurance investigations.
  5. Undertake major and minor obstructed meter replacements and associated manual tasks.
  6. Complete asset inspections to determine the level of work required for meter replacements.
  7. Participate in OSH and Quality Assurance support for the development and implementation of strategies, plans, and processes.
  8. Report issues following meter replacements and conduct field and desktop audits on contractors and internal staff.
  9. Conduct OSH inspections and report any issues back to relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience and/or demonstrated capability of undertaking field-related activities supporting a customer business environment.
  • Knowledge of field-based operations as it relates to Metering Services, liaison with customer practices and processes.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple teams and working environments.
  • Prior experience with corporate systems would be advantageous.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-growing team.
  • Familiarity with AS3500:1 and Water Services Act.
  • C Class Driver's License.
