Your New Role

The Cash Manager role is a market-facing position that assists with decision-making responsibilities for cash portfolios.

This role forms part of a global team and aims to meet performance and risk targets for cash portfolios while supporting day-to-day cash liquidity needs.

  • Conduct research and macro analysis to identify opportunities in short-end rates.
  • Perform bottom-up security and issuer analysis for short-end money market instruments up to 3 years.
  • Offer recommendations and investment cases to the Portfolio Manager.
  • Contribute insights and research for trade ideas and internal publications.
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager to implement and maintain cash strategies.
  • Execute buy-side trades and monitor performance and risks.
  • Contribute to management reporting, risk, and compliance obligations.
  • Handle trade entry, authorization, and troubleshooting.
  • Support monthly/quarterly investment commentary.
  • Work with the Liquidity and Implementation team to enhance cash management and investment capabilities.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Front office experience in managing cash and/or short-end credit focused strategies.
  • Familiarity with cash portfolio management concepts, including Buy side trading and execution of short end products.
  • Strong understanding of the drivers of money markets, particularly those related to less than one-year instruments.
  • Proven execution skills, including market-facing dealing and execution responsibility.
  • Knowledge of Python and Macrobond an advantage.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Economics, or similar fields.
  • Post-graduate qualifications in a technical field, such as CFA, preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a small team.
  • Strong communication skills using a simple and effective manner.
  • Willingness to be proactive and demonstrate initiative.
