Job Description

This role involves delivering high-quality support through supported playgroups, parenting courses, group work, and home visits—all within an integrated service delivery model.

About the Role
  • Client-Centered Approach: Tailor services to meet individual client needs through playgroups, parenting programs, and home visits.
  • Integrated Service Delivery: Collaborate with local services to strengthen referral pathways and advocate for best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Mainstreaming Child Development: Lead and facilitate parenting groups using evidence-based programs.
  2. Program Planning & Execution: Plan and run supported playgroups that cater to diverse community needs.
  3. Cross-Cultural Communication: Develop strong relationships with CALD and Aboriginal communities through effective communication.
  4. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate client records and statistical data in line with legislative requirements.
  5. Safety Culture: Promote a safe and tidy work environment, actively participating in safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and facilitate parenting groups using evidence-based programs.
  • Community Engagement: Experience planning and running supported playgroups that cater to diverse community needs.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and computer skills, especially when interacting with CALD and Aboriginal communities.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Social Sciences, Counselling, Early Childhood, or Social Welfare.
  • Relevant Experience: Experience in child development, effective parenting strategies, and group facilitation.
