Director Worksafe Mines Safety

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director Worksafe Mines Safety to lead our Work Safe Mines Safety Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing a best-practice risk-based compliance program to the mineral exploration and mining industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and direct the Work Safe Mines Safety Directorate, providing professional leadership and promoting strategies, policies, and systems that contribute to the strategic direction.
- Provide advice to the Work Safe Commissioner and Executive Leadership Group on the operations of the directorate.
- Develop and implement a best-practice risk-based compliance program to the mineral exploration and mining industry.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Lead a team of eight direct reports, motivating them to achieve agreed performance outcomes.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in leading mining or inspectorate operations at a senior level.
- Proven ability to take responsibility, promote accountability, and motivate others to achieve agreed performance outcomes and cultural change.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in relation to work health and safety in one or more of the exploration, mining, extraction, or mineral processing sectors.
- Bachelor degree or higher qualification in engineering or science relevant to the role.
