Our organisation is seeking a Visitor Services Officer to join our team.

This dynamic role offers the opportunity to contribute to shaping thriving communities, public spaces, and economies.

The successful candidate will oversee and manage Retail product and event material inventory for our institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management: Oversee and manage inventory levels, conduct regular stock takes, and ensure accurate record-keeping using inventory management platforms.
  • Stock Control: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock takes, and ensure accurate record-keeping using inventory management platforms.
  • Supplier Coordination: Liaise with Manager to order and replenish stock as needed.
  • Product Display: Assist in setting up and maintaining attractive product displays in the retail shop once stock is receipted.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to visitors, answering queries and assisting with purchases.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties related to inventory, category organisation, and provide insights and recommendations for inventory optimisation.
  • Retail and Events Support: Aid the Retail and Events sector with inventory and stockroom management.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in stockroom and inventory control.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management platforms to ensure efficiency.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possession of a passion for gardening and community engagement is a plus.

Essential Requirement:

  • Able to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends if required.
  • Hold a current driver's licence.
