Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Relations professional to play a key role in developing and executing strategic media and public relations initiatives for our organisation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong writing and communication skills, along with a proven record of successful media engagement.

This position requires a proactive approach to media strategies, the ability to handle complex issues, and the aptitude to craft high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences.

  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field are essential.
  • Proven experience in media environments and public relations is required.
  • Strong writing and research skills for creating effective communications are necessary.
  • Experience in generating media opportunities and pitching news content is desirable.
  • Ability to manage sensitive media issues and provide strategic advice is essential.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of news values and time management skills. Experience in local government and photography/videography skills are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities
