Job Title: Communication Specialist

 

This is a key role within our communications team, responsible for managing local media relations and PR activities. The successful candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in media relations, public relations, internal communications, and crisis communication.

 

The Communications Specialist & Press Officer will work closely with the Marketing and Communications functions to develop and implement strategic communications plans that drive business results. They will be responsible for:

  • Media Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with local media outlets, pitching stories, and securing media coverage for our brand.
  • PR Responsibilities: Handling local media enquiries, drafting press releases, and supporting crisis communications.
  • Internal Communications: Supporting Sales Market Communications activities, including expansion, innovation, CSR, crisis, corporate communications, sustainability, and employer branding.
  • Crisis Communications: Providing guidance and support during crisis situations, developing and implementing crisis communications plans.

 

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in similar roles within PR or Communications, a strategic mindset, and strong planning and prioritization skills. They should also be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and have experience in corporate and fashion PR, media monitoring, and analysis.
