As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in recovering outstanding debts for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts and develop effective strategies for resolution
  • Plan and execute courses of action to recover outstanding payments, ensuring timely communication with debtors
  • Locate and contact debtors to inquire about their payment status, negotiate payoff deadlines or payment plans as needed
  • Handle questions or complaints from debtors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account records
  • Foster trust relationships with debtors when possible to avoid future issues
  • Update account status and database regularly, providing timely alerts to superiors as necessary

Requirements and skills include:

  • Proven experience as a debt collector, with a strong background in negotiation and persuasion
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Knowledge of relevant legal requirements and working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with debtors
  • Aptitude for negotiating and persuading, with a polite and compassionate approach
  • Experience in debt collection is a must, with a strong focus on reliability and minimal supervision
