About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Safety Advisor to join our UU Regional Treatment Plants (RTP) Program team. In this role, you'll be responsible for monitoring and supporting the safety function under general supervision, working closely with project management teams and implementing safety programs for employees.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Monitoring compliance with safety protocols and procedures within the workplace.
- Developing and implementing safety strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborating with project teams to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
- Providing guidance and support to project personnel on safety matters.
- Preparing and submitting reports on safety performance and suggesting improvements.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
- Safety Lead Auditor certification.
- Three years or more of construction safety management experience.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating safety risks.
