Clinical Coding Manager
Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coding Manager to lead our Health Information Services. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting regular coding audits, providing education, and monitoring coder performance.
Main Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive coding audits to identify areas of improvement
- Lead and provide ongoing coding education to support team growth and professional development
- Prepare and deliver education and training activities to the coding team
- Educate clinicians on clinical documentation improvement, DRG, and activity-based funding
This role offers the opportunity to work with a hybrid work model, providing flexibility to work remotely.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- A Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent tertiary qualification, or a Clinical Coding qualification
- Eligibility for full HIMAA membership
- Demonstrated auditing experience in a tertiary hospital, with sound knowledge of audit processes and data integrity
