GPU Modelling Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled GPU modelling engineer to join our Australian Graphics IP team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and verifying industry-leading simulation platforms used in GPU research and development.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with architects, design engineers, and verification engineers on specifications, verification plans, and test plans
  • Develop and maintain C/C++ models and supporting systems
  • Debug, test, analyze, and improve model functional and performance accuracy
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving AMD's design and verification environment

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • At least 8 years of experience as a software designer and engineer proficient in C++
  • Knowledge of GPU or other computer hardware and Graphics APIs is an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to balance big picture and detailed perspectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to present results and status to peers and management
  • Proactive and self-motivating, with ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment

Preferred Experience:

While not required, it would be beneficial if you had experience in the following areas:

  • Software development using C or C++
  • Use of industry-standard profiling and debug tools
  • Graphics API or graphics pipeline knowledge
  • Hardware design or verification
  • Hardware implementation using HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL
  • Scripting languages - Python, Perl, shell
  • Productivity tools – Jira, Jenkins
  • Configuration Management – Perforce, GIT
