Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GPU architectural designer to lead the development of AMD's Graphics Processing Units (GPUs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize the architecture of AMD's GPUs, ensuring peak performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving the design and verification environment.
  • Develop and maintain specifications, verification plans, and test plans, guaranteeing high-quality outcomes.
  • Debug, test, analyze, and improve model functional and performance accuracy, leveraging industry-standard tools and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Software Design Skills: Proficiency in C++ is essential; strong software design skills with experience in designing and implementing complex algorithms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary, enabling effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to divide complex issues into manageable parts, analyze problems, and develop creative solutions.

Preferred Experience

  • Software Development Tools: Experience with industry-standard profiling and debug tools, including compilers, assemblers, and linkers.
  • Hardware Design: Familiarity with hardware design or verification, including hardware implementation using HDLs such as Verilog or VHDL.
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Perl, or shell, enabling efficient automation and data processing.
  • Productivity Tools: Experience with productivity tools like Jira, Jenkins, and configuration management tools like Perforce or GIT.

Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor or Master Level Degree: A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, demonstrating a solid foundation in computer science and engineering principles.
