We are seeking a skilled Structural Design Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design and development of high-rise facilities for our Starship program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design structural engineering work packages for production site design and development, focusing on integrated high-rise facilities.
  • Perform standard and complex structural engineering analyses, designs, and calculations using standard methodology and principles.
  • Conduct building-level structural analysis and design for large steel and reinforced concrete buildings.
  • Create structural design drawings, calculations, and design summary presentations.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in structural engineering, civil engineering, or a related discipline, as well as 1+ years of experience with the design or build of structural infrastructure.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in civil/structural engineering.
  • Design experience with steel and/or concrete high-rise design projects, including primary gravity and lateral force resisting systems.
  • Experience with temporary stability analysis during construction.
  • Knowledge of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) steel manual, American Concrete Institute (ACI) code 318, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) 7, International Building Codes (IBC).
