We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lecturer to join our academic team at The University of Notre Dame Australia. This role will provide a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to contribute to the delivery of our medical program.
About the Role:
The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) curriculum for Year 1 and Year 2, in relation to tutorials and clinical attachments. They will also support the development and delivery of tutorials within the School, and provide supervision and oversight of the Foundation Years Group Tutors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the delivery of the MD curriculum for Year 1 and Year 2.
- Supporting the development and delivery of tutorials within the School.
- Providing supervision and oversight of the Foundation Years Group Tutors.
- Coordinating and providing leave relief for Foundation Years Group Tutors.
- Providing coordination and pastoral care to medical students.
- Overseeing all clinical attachments, including coordinating rosters and processes.
- Providing feedback and advice regarding the curriculum and delivery.
Requirements:
- Possession of a medical degree registrable with AHPRA.
- Understanding of Problem-Based Learning in medical curriculum delivery.
- Experience in developing skills of tutors in PBL delivery.
- Demonstrated commitment to pastoral care of students.
- Experience in Medical Education, ideally in a University environment.
