At Home Of The Arts, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lighting Production Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a strong background in lighting production to lead our lighting team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile events and productions across various venues, delivering outstanding technical support and expertise.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing department operations, event setup, and maintenance of lighting, SFX systems, and equipment. They will also interpret and create essential technical documents such as lighting plans, event equipment allocations, and manage lighting annual operational budget.

This role requires excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with teams, presenters, and hirers. Strong knowledge of WHS standards, physical fitness, and proficiency with computer-related technology relevant to the role are essential.

In return for your expertise and dedication, you will enjoy a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the Lighting team to provide expert technical support and guidance to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Oversee department operations, event setup, and maintenance of lighting, SFX systems, and equipment.
  • Interpret and create essential technical documents such as lighting plans, event equipment allocations, and event crew resourcing.
  • Provide peer-to-peer training and mentoring to maintain high skill levels within the department.
  • Uphold relevant technical and Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead role with lighting systems for live events.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of professional theatrical lighting systems.
  • Excellent communication abilities, with a track record of delivering high levels of service and presentation while collaborating effectively with teams, presenters, and hirers.
  • Proven capability in leading small teams, mentoring others, ensuring efficient execution of tasks, and leading by example.
  • Strong understanding of policies and safe work practices, particularly in relation to WHS standards.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer-related technology relevant to the role.
  • Relevant certifications or extensive experience within the entertainment industry.
