About the Role

This is a permanent position based at the Appin mine, near the coastal city of Wollongong, NSW. As the Maintenance Shift Supervisor, you will lead crews in area of accountability, achieving performance targets in a safe and efficient manner through supervision and mentoring of workers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of trades and be accountable for the safe execution of work management plans
  • Establish a safety-oriented, high-performance culture through effective mentoring and coaching, enhanced technical knowledge, and promoting continuous professional development of team members
  • Ensure compliance to work management processes and implement, maintain, and monitor safety-critical risk controls
  • Build and communicate work schedules reflecting work management activities, ensuring they are resourced and aligned to a 12-week planning window

About You

  • Experience working in an underground coal mine is preferred
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role effectively managing dispersed teams
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable
  • Self-reliant contributor with proven proficiency in the Maintenance/Work management planning area

Qualifications for this position include a Trade Certificate or Tertiary Qualifications in a mechanical or electrical discipline and a C Class Drivers Licence.
