Senior Data Migration QA Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Migration QA Engineer to join our data migration team.

  • Job Description:
  • In this senior role, you will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for quality assurance of data migration and data reconciliation.
  • Your primary focus will be on ensuring the highest level of quality in solutions developed by our data migration team.
  • You will plan, prepare, execute and report quality assurance using superannuation registry systems and SQL tools.
  • You will analyze test requirements, design and prepare manual and automated test scenarios and scripts which provide comprehensive coverage of given requirements.
  • You will generate test metrics & ROI to utilize them for process and efficiency improvements.
  • You will build complex SQL queries to build automation scripts for data migration and reconciliation requirements.
  • You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments.
  • You will triage and retest defects raised outside data migration team.
  • You will plan and execute go-live data migration testing and reconciliation activities.
  • You will participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance of solutions developed in a data migration team.

  • Requirements:
  • A solid background in both manual and automated testing.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, TOSCA, Postman, and SQL.
  • Strong working experience in large scale data migration and reconciliation.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data mapping, and transformation validation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with manual and automated testing and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data reconciliation techniques.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the superannuation industry or a similar financial sector to minimize the learning curve.
