Job Summary

The Data Privacy & Compliance Specialist will serve as a key member of the Privacy Governance team, supporting ResMed's mission to improve the quality of life of patients, customers, and partners.

This role is responsible for managing global privacy requirements across business lines and jurisdictions, including data subject requests, privacy incident management, and privacy notices.

  • This role is also responsible for coordinating and streamlining divergent processes for multiple business lines across regions.
  • Assist with global privacy governance projects, including compliance with state and federal privacy laws, regulations, and standards.
Responsibilities:

This role will track and support privacy's data incident response activities and collaborate with various stakeholders. Assist implementation and periodic reviews of policies, notices, and practices to facilitate compliance with ResMed's global privacy obligations.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have relevant privacy experience, preferably at a multinational company in the medical device industry and/or technology and SaaS sector. A Bachelor's degree in law or business studies is preferred.

  • You must have excellent analytical and problem resolution skills and be customer service-focused.
  • Familiarity with global privacy laws and data protection frameworks is essential.
  • Certifications from recognized institutions, such as IAPP's CIPP certification or equivalent (with an emphasis on CIPM), are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with privacy management and automation tools, such as OneTrust, is a plus.
