
Senior Medical Receptionist or Administrative Coordinator

This role exists for experienced medical receptionists, one junior and one senior, to contribute their administrative expertise to a well-established general practice.
We seek an organized individual with exceptional communication skills and a patient-centered approach. As a key team member, you will assist in the daily operations of our front desk, ensuring seamless interactions with patients and staff.
- **Essential Criteria**: Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a healthcare setting.
- **Key Responsibilities**:
- All elements of customer service including telephone and face-to-face interactions, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- Processing payments and invoicing efficiently, adhering to established financial procedures.
- Basic administrative duties including scanning, filing, faxing, mailing, and data entry tasks.
- Organizing and managing appointments and patient enquiries, prioritizing tasks to ensure timely resolution.
- Supporting practice maintenance by maintaining accurate records and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent time management skills with fast-paced and multitasking abilities.
- A compassionate personality with a caring attitude towards patients.
- Proficiency with medical-specific software (Best Practice).
- Knowledge of Medicare Benefits Schedule and related regulations.
For Senior Medical Receptionist roles:
- Good knowledge of Best Practice, PIPS, WIPS, and PRODA systems.
- Collection of debt, including monitoring and following up on outstanding amounts.
- Business development strategies for growth and improvement.
- Maintaining knowledge of and commitment to Quality Improvement and Risk Management protocols.
- Developing and maintaining appropriate Policies and Procedures documents.
