Security Officer Job

As a Security Officer, you play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of individuals and assets. This position requires strong customer service skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work well in a team or autonomously.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service solutions to visitors, contractors, and clients.
  • Proactively monitoring CCTV and access control systems to identify potential security risks.
  • Conducting thorough building patrols to identify and report security and safety hazards.
  • Identifying and reporting building faults for rectification.
  • Supporting tenants and facilities with their needs.
  • Managing contractors and deliveries through dock management.
  • Responding promptly and effectively to emergency situations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work in a rotational roster (nights/days/weekends).
  • Australian citizenship or unlimited work rights.
  • Previous experience in corporate real estate contracts is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and write reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to use computers and security-related systems.
  • Availability and physical fitness to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Valid QLD security license (including monitoring subclass).
  • Crowd control endorsement will be highly desirable.
  • Current first aid and CPR certificate.
