The Administration Coordinator will support the Southern Gulf NRM team in delivering their work program efficiently and effectively. The role involves assisting staff with administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, data entry, records management, photocopying, office management, and vehicle maintenance and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist staff with administrative tasks including answering phone calls, data entry, and records management.
  • Undertake bookkeeping tasks including financial data entry, journaling, reconciliations, and preparation of routine financial reports.
  • Provide administrative and executive support to the CEO.
  • Manage and maintain Southern Gulf NRM policy documents.
  • Organize staff meetings and similar forums as required.

Our ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, experience in using a financial management package, and good organizational and communication skills.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Essential Skills: Accounting principles and practices, knowledge of a financial management package, word processing, spreadsheets, email, and organizational and oral and written communication skills.
  2. Desirable Skills: Knowledge of workplace health and safety principles and practice, knowledge of natural resource management principles and practice.

Benefits and Employment Conditions:

  • Rent assistance up to $5,200 per annum (pro rata).
  • Relocation Assistance: Full or partial reimbursement of reasonable relocation expenses is available by agreement.
  • Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading is available pro-rata.
  • Study Leave: Up to 10 days study leave and negotiated financial assistance for approved relevant study pro-rata.
  • Superannuation: Payment of an amount equivalent to 12% of the employee's salary to an eligible fund of the employee's choice.
