Portfolio Strategist - Investment Implementation

This role requires a talented individual to join our investment implementation team, based in Sydney or Melbourne. The hybrid work arrangement demands at least three days of office presence per week.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing analytical support for investment activities, focusing on improving efficiency and reducing operational risk. This includes assisting the Head of Fund Implementation in executing portfolio management decisions, asset allocation, and investment manager changes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with investment operations to maintain an accurate implementation pipeline and ensure best-practice execution of investment decisions.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) for the Pacific Delegated Solutions business, contributing to data infrastructure and analytics.

Qualifications for this position include:

  • A degree in finance, economics, or mathematics; a postgraduate qualification is desirable but not necessary.
  • 5-7 years of investment industry experience, with a strong emphasis on derivatives and derivative overlay strategies.
  • Experience in portfolio construction for multi-manager portfolios, including the use of derivatives for risk management and performance enhancement.
  • A solid understanding of various portfolio construction approaches, including passive, active, factor, core, and high conviction.
