Job Title: Meat Processing SpecialistJoin us in our meat processing company based in Cannon Hill, QLD. We are looking for a skilled and reliable individual to work in our production team.We offer a variety of shifts Monday to Friday with the possibility of overtime on Saturdays. You will be working alongside a talented team who are passionate about producing high-quality meat products.As a Meat Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  1. Performing various tasks within the production area, including but not limited to cutting, trimming and packaging meat products;
  2. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment;
  3. Working effectively as part of a team to meet production targets;
  4. Participating in regular training and development opportunities to improve your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a meat processing or related industry;
  • Well-developed knife handling and technical skills, including knife sharpening;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • History of excellent reliability, attendance and timekeeping at work;
  • Pride in delivering quality workmanship required to meet customer specifications;
  • Commitment to always working safely in line with policies, procedures, PPE & work instructions;
  • Ability to work within a cold storage environment and with raw meat products;
  • Flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required;
  • Able to demonstrate ability to safely fulfill the physical requirements of the role (through functional capacity assessment including drug and alcohol testing) and participate in a skills assessment.
