Women And Girls Participation Lead
Job OverviewThe Women and Girls Participation Lead will deliver strategic actions and initiatives as part of the Australian Football League (AFL) Women & Girls Game Development Action Plan. This plan aims to achieve gender equity in Australian football by 2030, focusing on increasing participation and representation of women and girls across all facets of the game.
Key Responsibilities- Support AFL staff with the establishment and implementation of All-Girls participation offerings, including Auskick, Superkick, Nines, and school competitions.
- Provide support to AFL staff, clubs, and Centre coordinators in the delivery of all-girls offerings.
- Support the competitions team and/or leagues in growing the number of clubs participating in and total participation in Under 9 (or region's equivalent) competitions.
- Regularly monitor participant feedback for Auskick & Under 9 Girls and support staff, clubs, and Centres to improve participant experience.
- Deliver targeted initiatives to improve retention of girls' participants in programs and competitions.
- Support national campaigns to help provide participants with a connection with their local junior club.
- Support the Participation Program Action Plans (Auskick, Superkick, Nines & School Competitions), Cultural Diversity, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, and Disability Action Plans as it relates to Women & Girls.
- Contribute to key projects related to the Women & Girls Game Development Action Plan.
- Support and contribute to the success of the broader Game Development team.

- Experience working across complex stakeholders.
- Experience in bringing a strategy to life.
- Experience in leading projects.
- Well-developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal, presentation skills.
- Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively unsupervised.
