Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for providing end-to-end management of all procurement activities within our region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide efficient and effective commercial activities relating to regional or global categories that deliver improved business performance through commercial agreements, enabling innovation, supplier partnering, and internal stakeholder collaboration.
  • Work with regional business and supply chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base, and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operation.
  • Actively track commercial dashboard KPIs (e.g., cycle times, contract coverage, category/supplier/contractor performance) and proactively address and escalate issues.

Requirements:

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • High-level commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experienced stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and consult across a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience using SAP ERP and ARIBA is desirable.
  • Tertiary degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline including engineering, business, or law.
  • A proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
