Speech Pathology Career Opportunities

This 12-month program is designed to support the transition of new Speech Pathologists into practice.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Assist children in achieving development milestones, including communication and language development.
  • Educate and involve parents, carers and others to support communication and language development.
  • Treat stuttering and articulation disorders to promote fluent speech.
  • Address literacy, reading and writing difficulties with teachers and schools.
  • Teach children food safety and management skills.
Duties and Obligations:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective services.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff members and students.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Eligibility Criteria:
  • Graduate degree in Speech Pathology from within the last 12 months or graduating in a near future.
  • Eligibility for SPA registration upon graduating.
  • Valid driver's license and third-party insurance.
  • Working with Children Check, Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
