About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate nurse to join our team as a Preadmission Liaison Nurse. As a patient advocate, you will provide education and support to patients during the pre-operative period.

Working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, you will coordinate care to ensure the best possible outcome for every patient on the planned surgery list.

You will continually strive to improve service delivery, adhering to Planned Surgery Access Policy 2024.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of hospital Patient Administration Systems (iPM), advanced Microsoft Office literacy, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient focus, and the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining, a current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check, as well as proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
