After School Club Teaching Assistant Role

Location: Primary School in Moseley

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Contract Type: Part-Time / Term-Time Only

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic After School Club Teaching Assistant to join our primary school team from September.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children in a fun and supportive setting, and who is looking for consistent part-time hours during term time.

Job Description:

  • Support the running of the after-school club, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for children aged 4–11.

  • Organise and lead engaging activities (arts, crafts, games, outdoor play, etc.) that cater to diverse interests and abilities.

  • Supervise and care for children during the club, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, fostering a sense of community and cooperation.

  • Assist with setup, tidying, and snack time, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.

  • Friendly, energetic, and responsible attitude towards children's needs.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, able to work effectively with colleagues and parents.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
