About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at Lizard Island Resort, a 5-star property located on the World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will work closely with our Sous Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard
  • Supervise junior cooking and other kitchen personnel and coordinate their assignments
  • Provide support to the Sous Chef for dinner services, degustation, food preparation and service
  • Observe and execute methods of food preparation and cooking, size of portion, and garnishing of food
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in a high-end kitchen environment
  • Extensive knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Passion for guest service and experience
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)
