About Our Dispatch Role: We aim to be a top supplier of genuine and aftermarket automotive parts, providing customers with a real advantage.
The Role: We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic dispatch team leader to join our Sydney branch. The role is responsible for motivating the team to achieve daily targets, maintaining high standards of quality, promoting a safe working environment and ensuring the best service possible is provided to keep customers happy.
- Picking, packing & dispatch of customer orders.
- Managing inventory, asset, and returns.
- Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles where required.
- Supporting warehouse management with day-to-day operations and guiding the team to be efficient in achieving business targets.
- Controlling pick allocation work on the computer.
- Providing line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring issues and ensuring KPI targets and quality standards are met.
- Developing the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely.
- Complying with all company policies, guidelines, directions and QA practices and ensuring the team is appropriately trained on the procedures.
- Working closely with the dispatch supervisor to ensure the team is operating at optimal capacity.
- Actively working with the team to pick, pack or when workloads dictate.
- Managing site security when required.
About You, Skills and Experience: We are looking for someone with the right attitude, ability to be adaptable, think on their feet, communicate efficiently and work well within a team.
- A good understanding of ERP systems.
- Ability to work within a rapidly changing and diverse environment.
- Prior experience as a team leader or similar role.
- Demonstrated background in people supervision in an operational environment.
- Knowledge or practical experience with health safety & environment (HSE) practices and legislation.
- Highly developed problem-solving capability complemented by an authentic and passionate customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication skills, building great relationships.
- Forklift licence (highly desired).
