Job Overview

This position reports to the Store Manager and is classified as Level 1 in the GRA. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Team Member reports to the Long Life and/or Fresh Food Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • Maximise sales by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Support and motivate the store team by executing routines and processes efficiently.
  • Follow directions to uphold store standards effectively.
  • Contribute to a constructive team atmosphere.
Key Tasks
  • Perform tasks according to store routines and procedures.
  • Adhere to Schedule/Routine Cards.
  • Assist with induction and training of new employees and ongoing development of existing staff members.
  • Communicate incidents, damages, operational issues or suggestions to the Store Manager promptly.
  • Minimise stock losses from damage or theft.
  • Support store standards management initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records for inventory control including stocktake, receival and invoice processes.
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.
  • Report pest issues to the Store Manager immediately.
  • Comply with all relevant policies and procedures including WHS, Employee Handbook, Food Safety and Payment Handling.
  • Meet legislative requirements, maintaining proper records and training staff accordingly.
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by the Store Manager.
