Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Leader to join our Noosa Research & Development team.

The successful candidate will report to the Senior Electronic Engineer and be responsible for the manufacturing requirements of various electronic systems, including our brand-new Bluetooth-mesh Smart On-Board-Mass product range.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manufacturing Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Support operations and guide focus to the team to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Mentor, develop and lead team members to take charge of daily production.
  • Maintain stock control and purchasing of assembly items.
  • Write production manuals and other technical documentation for staff and customer use.
  • Continually seek improvement on production processes.
  • Conduct site visits to assess and diagnose electronic devices if needed.
  • Provide over-the-phone troubleshooting assistance to customers, guiding them through the process of diagnosing and repairing equipment issues remotely.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on electronic equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and manage a safe and clean work environment.
  • Assembly Responsibilities:
  • Lead and perform electronics assembly of components, sub-assemblies, and final products according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Programming, calibration, and testing of electronic devices.
  • Hand soldering of fine electronics.
  • Manufacturing cable assemblies.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience in technical assembly & manufacturing or similar.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team to success.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience with electronics and electrical assembly preferable.
  • Ability to conduct site visits and work in different locations if needed.
