Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Commis Chef to join our team. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the kitchen team in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes. You will work closely with our experienced chefs to develop your culinary skills and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Develop and maintain a high level of culinary knowledge and skills
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high standards
Requirements
  • Experience as a Commis Chef or Cook in an a-la-carte restaurant
  • Ability to effectively follow instructions and absorb new information
  • Interest in Italian cuisine
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • A positive attitude, resilient and adaptable to change
  • Understanding of Food Safety and OH&S
  • Foundation knife skills and understanding of basic cookery terms and techniques
  • Attention to detail
  • Outstanding time management during preparation and service periods
  • Calm and composed demeanor
  • Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience
