Data Engineer – Software Solutions

Job Description

We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our team, responsible for transforming design and product vision into working solutions for end users. The ideal candidate will foster a culture of sharing, reuse, scale stability, and user-first design.

The role involves designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining data engineering solutions for analytical use cases including architecture, data products/pipelines, and infrastructure using industry best practices.

The successful candidate will stay up-to-date with new techniques and apply evolving industry standards to individual projects. They will also support continuous team growth and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience in data, software or system engineering
  • Proficiency in Python is required
  • Knowledge of data modelling principles
  • Familiarity with relational databases and data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to big data tools frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop etc
  • Familiarity with either Databricks or other cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Knowledge on version control systems and collaborative development workflows
  • Awareness of data governance principles such as data quality and data lineage
