About the Role

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join its team in Sydney or Melbourne. As a Business Development Manager for Market Expansion in Energy Storage, you will play a key role in shaping the future of energy storage by identifying and knocking down barriers to adoption.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with sales and build relationships with customers, utilities, and regulators to understand pain points on the road to 100% renewable energy
  • Design solutions, from new financing strategies to policy proposals, to new tools and resources, in collaboration with product, engineering, and policy teams
  • Convince key industry stakeholders to adopt Tesla's view of the future through effective advocacy
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive market expansion strategy for industrial energy storage solutions across APAC

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, with advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years in the energy industry, with 4+ years in energy storage
  • Excellent understanding of the energy industry, deep knowledge of energy storage technology, and value proposition
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
  • Experience presenting to external executive teams, ideally in a sales or BD role
  • Strong existing connections across the energy industry
