The Oncology Team is seeking a Social Worker to provide high-quality services to patients and their carers.
About the RoleThis is an opportunity for a senior social worker to work in a dynamic team environment, providing complex casework and psychosocial assessments. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and time management skills, with experience in relevant specialties and commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Provide high-quality social work services to patients and their carers in the Oncology Ward
- Support patients and families through the cancer journey, including adjustment to illness, grief and loss, crisis and bereavement intervention, referrals to community services, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery and guide and support others in providing service excellence
