Panthers Bathurst is seeking an experienced Commis Chef to join their busy and friendly kitchen team.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, presenting and serving high-quality food to our customers. They will work closely with senior chefs to ensure a smooth operation of the kitchen and assist in catering for functions and events.

  • Food preparation, presentation and service
  • Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen preparations
  • Cooking using grills and fryers
  • Stock management
  • Cleaning the kitchen area and ensuring it is well presented
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen as a Chef
  • Relevant trade qualifications including Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and/or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
  • High customer service skills and a strong commitment to your trade, customers and team
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Ability to cope with stressful situations and strong problem-solving skills
