Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to assist our client in the Mackay Coal Fields. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management and electrical engineering, with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience delivering projects in a brownfield coal mining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and prepare project deliverables required to initiate, develop, and execute assigned projects related to surface CHPP mining infrastructure and equipment.
  • Manage the design, procurement, and execution of projects.
  • Engage with stakeholders to investigate requirements, obtain inputs, identify risks, and understand the context.
  • Contribute to the portfolio and team delivery strategies.
  • Undertake project-related duties as defined by the Portfolio Lead.
  • Through external and internal partners, define and produce scopes of work and deliverables in line with project management processes.
  • Be part of a high-performing team, constantly improving and pushing the boundaries in technology, processes, and value-driving initiatives.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience delivering projects within a brownfield coal mining environment, ideally CHPP.
  • A sound understanding of the Front-End Loading processes.
  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
  • A strong background and proven track record in projects.
  • Strong project documentation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to manage the engineering design process and prepare project deliverables, including scope of work, specifications, execution plans, cost estimates, and schedule.
  • Previous experience working in a matrix functional organization is highly desirable.
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills will be critical to success.
