Employment Support Specialist

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) job seekers in overcoming barriers to employment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team in providing employment support services, specifically for refugee and asylum seeker cohorts.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A background in case management or client liaison, including work with CALD Job Seekers;
  • A current valid Driver Licence for NSW;
  • A current Working With Children Check (Employee) for NSW;
  • A working knowledge of employment support services and labour market trends;
  • Demonstrated experience in placement of job seekers into employment or a similar role;
  • Ability to assess job seekers' needs, identify barriers to employment, and develop individual career plans;
  • Proven ability to motivate clients, advocate on their behalf, and negotiate effectively;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to implement innovative solutions;
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and computer skills;
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement principles;
  • Ability to speak a second language is highly regarded.

About the Role

This is a casual position based at our location in Parramatta. The role involves working closely with CALD job seekers, employers, and other stakeholders to provide employment support services.
