Job Title: Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Delivering Exceptional Care in a Values-Driven Organisation

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our community disability team. As a valued member of our team, you will deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to individuals or groups, conduct thorough assessments, and develop comprehensive behaviour support plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct Service Delivery: Provide evidence-based occupational therapy services to individuals or groups in community settings for NDIS participants.
  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments encompassing Functional Behaviour Assessments, personal care, domestic and community Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), home environments, and physical capacity, then develop and implement comprehensive behaviour support plans ensuring progression toward people's goals.
  • Specialised Supports: Coordinate the provision of specialised supports and equipment to optimise outcomes for people.
  • Consultation and Support: Provide consultation and support as part of a multidisciplinary allied health team.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Education, or a related discipline.
  • NDIS Registration: Eligibility to be registered by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Core level minimum).
  • Positive Behaviour Support Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and person-centred practice.
  • Experience and Qualifications: Over 2 years' experience and tertiary level qualifications preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
