Job Opportunity: Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for preparing the bakery for use, stocking and rotating dated products and supplies, and ensuring that all necessary ingredients, packaging, and consumables are available for producing bakery-related products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the bakery for use by starting up equipment when required and checking production schedules to pull the first bake of frozen items.
  • Fulfill drop list needs and stock in proper storage areas, rotating all dated products.
  • Restock and consolidate remaining items left on pallets for safe conveyance by the forklift operator.
  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to drivers, members, employees, and suppliers.

Operational Requirements:

  • Able to operate various vehicles, equipment, or machinery, including oven racks, pan dollies, pallet jacks, and commercial dishwashers.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.

Requirements:

  • Forklift License preferred.
  • Comparable experience preferred.

  • You will be required to undertake role & department-specific training within specified timeframes if successful.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination or medical contraindications certificate is mandatory.
