Bakery Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bakery Leader to join our team. As a key member of our bakery department, you will be responsible for leading a team of bakery personnel to deliver exceptional customer service and high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and direct the performance of your team members to achieve sales and merchandising goals.

  • Provide constructive feedback and training to enhance teamwork and accountability among employees.

  • Monitor employee performance, participate in performance reviews, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

  • Assist with rostering and minimize downtime in the department.

  • E nsure adherence to proper bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards.

  • Coordinate activities to achieve sales and merchandising goals for the department.

  • Ensure the quality and consistency of finished products.

  • Oversee and participate in product presentation and merchandising.

  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for equipment, machinery, and implements.

  • Support physical inventory and assist with orders to the buying office for equipment, products, and supplies.

Requirements:

  • A Higher School Certificate or Trade Qualification (Baker) is required.

  • You should have supervisory, bakery, leadership, or comparable experience.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets) and AS400 is essential.

  • You must possess strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Problem-solving and critical thinking are also essential.
