
Medical Instrument Repair Specialist

An opportunity exists for a skilled Surgical Equipment Technician to utilize technical and mechanical expertise in the repair of medical equipment.
This role requires proficiency in inspecting, evaluating, and testing medical devices as well as disassembling and reassembling instruments and repairing them as necessary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting all services performed, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and handling administrative tasks such as timecard entry and submission.
This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care while developing skills and expertise in a dynamic field.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect, evaluate, and test medical equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble instruments and repair as needed
- Document all services performed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Handle administrative tasks such as timecard entry and submission
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-2 years of experience with repairs preferred
- Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, and stoop frequently
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
- Proficiency in using computer devices and systems as needed
- Ability to use various tools and equipment including grinding wheels, soldering irons, sand blasters, and microscopes
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs
