Job Title: Surgical Equipment Technician

This role involves the inspection, evaluation and testing of medical equipment, with a focus on technical and mechanical skills.

The technician will use their knowledge to repair surgical medical instruments within an assigned modality, ensuring high-quality results and maintaining equipment standards.

  • Inspect and evaluate medical equipment for any defects or malfunctions.
  • Disassemble and assemble equipment as needed, repairing or replacing defective parts.
  • Document all services and testing performed, including required materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to VWP Standards.
  • Manage timecards and handle employee requests for time off.
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop frequently.
  • Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds and perform tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
