Lead Paint Artist Position

About our company, a leader in visual effects. Founded by George Lucas, the company has created stunning images in film history and continues to break new ground in digital innovation.

Job Summary

The Lead Roto/Paint Artist oversees a team responsible for delivering requested elements on time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting producers, CG supervisors, and production managers with bidding and scheduling
  • Attending dailies, following up with team notes, fixes, etc.
  • Assigning shots to artists
  • Providing direction and priorities to crew members
  • Motivating team to meet deadlines
  • Identifying problems and implementing solutions

In addition to these key responsibilities, the Lead Roto/Paint Artist will also be responsible for paint/roto complex shots quickly, mentoring less experienced artists, and reviewing potential candidates.

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 4+ years of feature film VFX work experience (excluding stereoconversion), Nuke experience, demonstrated leadership qualities, strong communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and a team player with attention to detail and professionalism.
