About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pricing Analyst to join our team at Allianz Australia Services Pty Ltd. As a key member of our pricing team, you will be responsible for designing and performing pricing analysis and modeling to inform pricing decisions and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement best practice pricing models, including claims, quote conversion, customer retention, and pricing scenarios.
  • Take ownership of the continual refinement of the rating and pricing models, ensuring accuracy and reflecting best practice frameworks.
  • Monitor the performance of implemented initiatives to support continuous refinement of pricing models.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategy and support its implementation.
  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation and implement improvements in processes, products, and services.
  • Perform controls outlined in the pricing governance framework and ensure adherence to all governance frameworks relevant to the pricing process.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in a pricing/actuarial management role, acquired in a financial services (preferably general insurance) and/or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated evidence of technical proficiency with systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools (Willis Towers Watson pricing software (Emlem, Radar) and SAS, R, or Python).
  • Ability to manage internal client expectations to ensure matters are appropriately triaged and dealt with in accordance with an agreed timeline and scope.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, organize tasks, and manage competing resources and demands.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends, and links that inform judgments and solutions and report accordingly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with clarity, impact, and influence.
