Disability Support Worker Role Overview

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering clients to live independently and fully participate in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Community Inclusion: Assist clients with community outings and activities.
  • Companionship Services: Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
  • Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Requirements:
  • Certification III or IV in Disability or Aged Care Services or Certificate in Individual Support
  • National/International Police Check Certificate
  • Working With Children Check Clearance
  • NDIS Screening Check Result
  • Infection Control Training Certification
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Record
  • First Aid Certificate (including resuscitation)
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Full Victorian Driver's License and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination status including booster shots
