Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Registrar to join our medical team at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney.

About the Role:

This is a fixed-term position for 12 months with the possibility of extension. As a Surgical Registrar, you will provide effective clinical management of surgical patients and develop your expertise in medical practice in a complex clinical environment.

You will assist with and undertake surgical procedures in theatres, commensurate with competence and as approved by supervisors. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in one of Australia's most highly regarded hospitals with a high acceptance rate into the SET program.

About Our Organisation:

The hospital is a major metropolitan teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre that provides excellent healthcare for over 58,000 patients in the Emergency Department annually.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) with minimum Level 2 supervision requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of postgraduate experience and previous experience in a surgical department
